Athens High School Golden Eagle Football

This year the Handicapped Parking Area will be in the South End Zone Area. This is the area in recent years that has been used for the visiting team buses. To gain access, enter off Highway 31 on to Philip Rivers Drive. Signs and a Booster Club member will be there to assist in parking.

Directions to Athens Stadium

Athens Stadium-Home of the Golden Eagles is easy to find! The Stadium is located on Highway 31 North at the intersection of Highway 31 and Highway 251, next to Athens High School. You can also access the stadium from I-65. There is plenty of parking.

From 72 West (University Drive) from Huntsville: cross over I-65 and get in left hand lane. Make a left turn onto Hwy. 31 North before bridge (do not cross bridge!). Stay on Hwy. 31 North. School is on right at 4th traffic light (Wal-Mart is at 1st light, funeral home is at 3rd light). Stadium is at north end of the school.

From 72 East: Turn right onto Hwy 31 North. Stay on Hwy 31 North. School is on right at 4th traffic light (Wal-Mart is at 1st light, funeral home is at 3rd light). Stadium is at north end of the school.

From I-65: Take I-65 to exit 354 (US-31 S / AL-3 S). Stay on US-31 S/ AL-3 S through one light. The Athens stadium is on the left.
